Stabbing suspect in Detroit let go when police can't find victim

Police say woman confesses to stabbing boyfriend at home on city's west side

DETROIT – A Detroit man was in surgery Wednesday morning at Henry Ford hospital after arriving in very critical condition.
The man had been stabbed in the stomach and head.
What's bizarre is, police found and let the suspect go 90 minutes before the victim showed up at the hospital.
A 38-year-old woman flagged police down in Grand River and North Clarendon, saying she just stabbed her boyfriend.
She had a knife and her porch and driveway was covered with blood.
With no victim, police let her go.
Police went back to the house later and arrested her.
