Police say Terrell Albert Bishop was the daughter's ex-boyfriend.

The family says the man made previous threats to set the home on fire and was stalking the daughter despite her having a personal protection order in place barring Bishop any contact with her.

Both the father and daughter told police they saw Bishop pouring a liquid on the front door and then lighting it on fire before he fled.

As the fire burned, the family ran to safety while the father used a garden hose to put the flames out.   Police were able to locate and arrest Bishop.

No one in the home was injured.

He was charged with arson and aggravated stalking. During his arraignment, bond was set at $150,000 with no 10 percent.

Bishop will be back in court on June 17th.
