2 men robbed while installing park equipment in Detroit

Police say teens got away with tools, personal property and van from victims at Calimera Park

DETROIT – Two men were robbed Monday afternoon while they were installing equipment at a Detroit park.

Police said the 35-year-old and 28-year-old were at Calimera Park, which is at Pinewood and Joann streets, when two teens approached them and demanded their personal property and tools.

Police said one of the teens had a gun, but no one was hurt.

The teens got away with the victims' stuff and 2006 Pontiac Montana van.

Police have released the following descriptions of the teen thieves:

-White male teen about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds, dread-locked hair, clean shaven, medium build. He was wearing a black T-shirt and was armed.

White male teen, 6 feet tall, 210 pounds, short hair, clean shaven, large build and was wearing a black T-shirt.
