Mt. Brighton gets summer makeover

Popular Metro Detroit skiing destination gets $10 million in improvements

BRIGHTON, Mich. – It may be the middle of summer, but work is underway at Mt. Brighton to make the next skiing season something special.

The new owners, Vail Resorts, are investing $10 million in improvements. This includes a new chair lift, remade beginners slopes and a children's ski school. Construction is already underway.

Mt. Brighton is also getting 43 new snow-making guns to triple the capacity for next winter.
