NOVI, Mich. – A 22-year-old man was found shot dead late Thursday night at an apartment complex in Novi.
Police said several 911 calls came in just before 11 p.m. reporting gunshots at the Saddle Creek apartments off Novi Road.
When officers arrived, 22-year-old Joe-Von Meshawn Cole was found outside a building on Sagebrush. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office says Cole was shot multiple times in his torso.
Police said they do not think this was a random shooting and that the man was targeted.
