Wounded Warriors High Five Tour

48-State Trip Across America

DETROIT, Mich. – For the country's wounded warriors and their families, the road to recovery can be a long and difficult struggle. Monday morning they got some much needed help when a Mustang from the 'High Five Tour 2013' rolled into town.

The "Wounded Warriors Family Support Mustang" hit the road earlier this summer. The goal is to cover 60 cities in 48 states.

"We are supporting families of severely wounded men and women,." said Major General Arnold Fields. "Helping to ensure those men and women stay together. while they go through the combat injuiries is important."

The High Five Tour's mission is to help raise money  to build two "smart homes" for two wounded warriors and their families - John Masson of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Sgt. Rusty Dunagan of Guthrie, Oklahoma.

People who donate money can write their name on the car. The Mustang will be on display Monday at the Romeo engine plant on 32 Mile Road, from 9am to 7pm.
