Throughout the day customers could buy up to 15 gallons of gas at the reduced price.

"This vision that you see being played out today is all about showing care and kindness to our community, of course we as a church do all kinds of feeding programs, we house the homeless, we take care of back to school needs with hundreds of young students and this is just another way we can reach out to our community and can be a genuine church," said pastor Phil Krist. "We don't believe in just being a club or an organization that feeds itself, but to be a real church that cares about our community."

The promotion was expected to run until 5:00 p.m. or until the gas station sold 10,000 gallons.

Church members were also on hand to clean windshields and check the tire pressure for drivers.
