Camera captures intruder inside Waterford home

Police release picture, video to try to track down a suspect

WATERFORD, Mich. – A surveillance camera in a Waterford home has captured an intruder sneaking around.

Police said officers responded to an alarm the morning of Sept. 30 at a home in the 2400 block of Georgeland Drive and found a sliding glass door had been pried open.

The homeowner was able to turn over footage from a surveillance camera to police, who had now released it to the public to try to stir up tips.

The video shows a man walking back and forth through the home's kitchen and dining room area.

Police didn't say whether anything had been taken from the home.

Police describe the man as white, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and bald with a goatee. He was wearing a purple shirt and jeans with a white, square shaped object on his right hip.

If anyone has information on the man in the video, call Waterford police at 248-618-7515.
