DETROIT – A vacant building went up in flames Saturday afternoon at East Jefferson Avenue and Riopelle Street in Detroit.
The building used to house apartments. There were no evacuations.
Detroit firefighters were working to contain the flames.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
The building is situated between East Jefferson Avenue and East Larned Street. Parts of the streets were shut down.
