Pine tree becomes victim of University of Michigan fraternity prank

Incident under investigation by campus police

ANN ARBOR – A pine tree was the victim of a fraternity prank at the University of Michigan.

Campus police say they were dispatched to the 1200 block of Beal Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived at the location, they found a freshly cut stump.

Additional officers then made contact with a vehicle near Oxford Street and Hill Street containing the pine tree. Officers spoke to several students who reported the incident was related to fraternity activity.

The case is still under investigation by University of Michigan Police. Â
