The boys' mother had been arrested the night before for a probation violation.
Neighbors said someone was seen throwing something at the home moments before it caught fire - possibly a Molotov cocktail.
The house fire was in the 16800 block of Prairie Street, which is near Six Mile and Livernois.
Local 4 is on the scene and will update the story when more information becomes available.
