Duggan to have lunch with Obama

DETROIT – Next week Mike Duggan heads to the nation's capital to have lunch with President Obama and Vice President Biden.

Detroit's Mayor-elect made the announcement Saturday while speaking to the community group ARISE Detroit.

During breakfast, Duggan told the crowd he will assure the President that he has a plan to use all federal funds Detroit is eligible to receive to revitalize the city's neighborhoods.

Duggan will join about a dozen new mayors from across the country in Washington for the Presidential luncheon.

According to John Roach, Duggan spokesman, no other details about the visit are being released at this time.
