Amber Alert cancelled, girl found safe

Sabrina Mendoza found safe

HAMTRAMCK, Mich. – The Amber Alert issued for a 12-year-old Hamtramck girl who was allegedly abducted Saturday night has been cancelled after the girl was found safe Sunday morning.

Hamtramck police said Sabrina Mendoza disappeared after last being seen at a CVS store on Joseph Campau at 8 p.m.

Police said she may have been taken by a black man, 20 years old, who was driving an older model, full-sized black van. Mendoza has been returned to her family unharmed.

Hamtramck Police currently have no other information about her discovery, but the investigation is ongoing.
