Detroit mayor to help roll out new education website

GreatSchoolsDetroit.org will give parents access to data on local schools

DETROIT – Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan on Tuesday will help roll out a new tool for families in the city to find a school.

GreatSchoolsDetroit.org will give parents easy-to-access data on local schools, building on the GreatSchools national platform and 1-10 scoring system. Leveraging Excellent Schools Detroit Scorecard information that provides apples-to-apples school comparison across many measures, GreatSchoolsDetroit.org will also link families to national and local content supporting their children's school success.
Detroit is the fourth metro area where GreatSchools.org has partnered to create a specialized local site.
