DETROIT – A fire Tuesday night in an east side Detroit high-rise apartment building injured at least two residents.

The fire broke out on the 18th floor of the Regency Tower apartments on Chene Street and Chene Court.

Firefighters report the fire was contained inside a kitchen of one unit.

Two women, 102 and 108 years old, were taken from the building by emergency responders. There was no immediate report on the women's conditions.

One younger woman was also reportedly taken to a hospital with injuries from the fire.
