DETROIT – Tuesday is a big day for Congressman John Conyers, who hopes to be on the democratic primary ballot in August.
The Wayne County Clerk is slated to announce whether or not the 84-year-old qualifies to be on the primary ballot.

As we've reported on Local 4 News, many of the signatures required are now being classified as "invalid." It's because two of the petition gathers were not registered voters, as required by law.
Conyers has served in Congress since 1965.
Conyers's campaign is intent on taking the battle to court, if need be.
