HOWELL, Mich. – The Livingston County Sheriff's Office has released a fraud alert after several complaints from citizens.
A man identifying himself as Major Paul Stevens of the warrants division of the Livingston County Sheriff's Office has approached people saying he has a warrant for their arrest, for various reasons, and would then ask for money to cancel the warrant promising they would not be arrested.

He is currently using the phone number 517-260-3483.
The Sheriff's Office has no affiliation with the man. Paul Stevens has never been employed by the Livingston County Sheriff's Office.
They would like to remind the public not to give any money or personal information to anyone without confirming their identity.
