DETROIT – Happy Father's Day! Mother Nature is coming through with a summer-like Sunday for all Dads and their families in Detroit and Southeast Michigan.
Sunday morning will be cool and clear with temperatures in the 40s and low 50s. Fathers with an early tee-time will have light winds and perfect conditions on Detroit area links. Same for anyone with plans for fishing boating or running along the waterfront.
Sunday afternoon will be warmer with mostly sunny skies. The 1pm ET baseball game between the Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins will have winning weather at Comerica Park. Highs will be in the low 80s. Anyone in the bleechers or outdoors for a long time anywhere will need their sun block to stay protected.
Sunday evening will be lovely for dinner out with Dad and relatives. Temps will be in the 70s.
Sunday night will have increasing clouds with a chance of showers and storms by midnight and afterward. Lows will be near 60 degrees.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be warm, again, with more humidity and instability. Skies will be partly sunny each day with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lightning and heavy downpours will be concerns for the early work-week. Highs will be in the middle and low 80s during daylight hours, and lows will be in the 60s at night and in the early morning.
Thursday and Friday will be sunnier and not as warm. Highs will be in the 70s, and lows will be in the 50s.
