Livonia man killed crossing 8 Mile Road near Inkster Road

Police say driver who hit man stayed on scene


FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. – Farmington Hills police said a 62-year-old man was killed just before midnight when he was hit by a car while crossing Eight Mile Road.

The victim, who has only been identified as a Livonia resident, was in the westbound lanes near Inkster Road when he was hit. He was taken to Botsford Hospital, but died.

Police said the driver who hit the man, an 18-year-old Livonia resident, stayed at the scene and is cooperating.
