VIDEO: 2-year-old amputee learns to walk, cheers himself on
Your daily dose of inspiration
DETROIT – If this doesn't inspire you at least a little bit, we're not sure what will.
2-year-old Kayden Elijah Kinckle has captured the hearts of the internet. He was born with an omphalocele, a defect in his intestinal wall that caused his intestines and other organs to stick out through his naval.
He also had "a band wrap around his legs and feet when he was in the womb," according to his mother, which led to his right foot and left leg needing to be amputated.
His mother was told he wouldn't survive, but now Kayden is old enough to learn how to walk!
In this great video, he takes his first steps with his new walker.
As he treks on, Kayden cheers himself on, pushing himself further. "I got this! I got it, I got it!"
