Man allegedly pulls gun on uncle during dispute over food in microwave

Suspect arrested Sunday

PONTIAC – A 28-year-old Pontiac man was arrested Sunday for allegedly pointing a handgun at his uncle during an argument over food being left in the microwave. The 61-year-old victim, also from Pontiac, called 911 and said that his nephew got the gun from the living room and pointed the gun at him, saying he was going to shoot him.

Police responded to the 600 block of Colorado Street, where the suspect had been living with the victim for a few months, but the suspect had fled the home on foot.

Later in the evening, the suspect returned to the home and the victim called 911 again, according to police. The suspect was taken into custody without incident for felonious assault and outstanding warrants. The suspect was lodged in the Oakland County Jail pending charges.
