23-year-old Lapeer man killed in motorcycle crash

Alcohol believed to have been factor in incident

MUSSEY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 23-year-old man from Lapeer, Michigan, was killed Sunday morning when he failed to stop his motorcycle and hit another vehicle.

Police say that around 12:20 a.m. Sunday the man was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Downey Road when it hit a vehicle making a left turn onto Downey from Capac Road. The man died at the scene.

The three people in the second vehicle, a 34-year-old from Imlay City and two children, ages 3 and 7, were uninjured.

The driver of the motorcycle was wearing a helmet. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
