Baby boy found alive near Highland Park dumpster

Woman who found baby identified as boy's mother


HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – Police say a baby boy was found near a dumpster at Grand Street and Hamilton Avenue in Highland Park.

The boy was found around 10:45 a.m. Saturday.

A woman who claimed to have found the baby was identified as the boy's mother, according to police.

Authorities said the baby was less than 10 hours old when police picked him up.

The baby was not hurt.
