5-year-old grazed in neck by bullet

DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating a drive-by shooting that injured a 5-year-old girl.

It happened around 11:40 p.m. Sunday in the 18000 block of Alcoy on Detroit's east side.

The child was in a car with her parents when someone fired several shots at the vehicle.

The child was grazed in the neck.

"I'm so tired of this in this neighborhood. I'm so tired of this in all of Detroit," said Keith, a neighbor who did not want his full name used in this story.

She was transported to the hospital to be checked out. She is listed in temporary serious condition.

The shooter's motive is unclear right now, and police have not released a good description of the men involved.
