Food 4 Thought: Recap of nutrition chat

DETROIT – All this week, Local 4 teamed up with one of the top nutrition experts in the state to talk about foods that help you live healthier.

Dr. Tom Rifai is certified by and former president of the American Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists as well as a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He now serves as a hospital Medical Director of Metabolic Nutrition and Weight Management for St Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan.

From Dr. Rifai:

"Thanks to EVERYONE for your great questions! If there's anything I regret, it's only that I couldn't answer them all – but thank you for an overwhelming response! I hope you enjoyed it! I'd like to thank the excellent staff at WDIV including the talent: Paula Tutman, Ruth Spencer & Dr. Frank McGeorge – as well as the "behind the scenes" talent including Dave, Ken and Halston who helped moderate the chat room!

We hope we've helped you find where REALITY MEETS SCIENCE when it comes to wellness, weight loss and disease prevention! Would also like to thank Kroger for letting us film and my fantastic St. Joseph Mercy Oakland hospital staff who helped arrange my clinical schedule so we could present this to you while still providing phenomenal care to our patients!

If you're interested in our lifestyle based metabolic nutrition and weight management program, feel free to call us at 248–858–2475 to learn more and please follow me at Facebook.com/DrTomMD by simply clicking on "like." All the best and to your health! Dr Tom."
