Report: 100-plus sexual assaults reported at University of Michigan in 1 year

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – A new report reveals more than 100 sexual assaults have been reported on the University of Michigan's Ann Arbor campus in a 12-month period.

Between July 2013 and June 2014, 58 of the 129 reports did not fall into the university's police on sexual misconduct. Forty-eight reports were placed in front of a review panel, but only 27 were investigated.

Officials found 11 violations and expelled one student.

The report is compiled each year as part of a national fight to stop sexual assaults on campuses. The University of Michigan is just one of many schools being investigated across the country for its handling of sexual assaults cases on campus.
