A Gaza Strip family has adopted two lion cubs from a local zoo that was unable to care for them.

According to The Associated Press, the cubs are living with the family in a refugee camp in Rafah.

The owner of the cubs, Saed Eldin al-Jamal, allows his family and neighborhood children to play with the cubs.

The cubs are coming up on three months, and Saed said they will start becoming dangerous at about four months old, according to the AP story.

He told The AP that he will cage the lions in a about a month for his family's safety.
