Police: University of Michigan-Dearborn student reports sexual assault on campus


DEARBORN, Mich. – Police on the campus of the University of Michigan-Dearborn are investigating the report of a sexual assault of a female student.

The student told police an unknown man appoached her about 2 p.m. Monday along Book Return Drive between the Institute of Advanced Vehicle Systems and the northeast corner of Mardigian Library. He hugged her and fondled her.

He is described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old standing about 6 feet 4 inches tall with a thin build and beard. He was wearing black pants and may be driving a newer red vehicle -- possibly a Ford Taurus.
