Elderly Shelby Township man with Alzheimer's disease missing

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Police are searching for an elderly man who was last seen around 5:45 p.m. Sunday near Shelby and 24 Mile roads.

Gerald Mizurkiewics, 86, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, was believed to be driving to the Meijer store at 26 Mile and Van Dyke in Washington Township but never arrived.

Mizurkiewics is 5 feet 10 inches tall and has gray hair. He wears glasses and was last seen wearing a blue nylon jacket and a dark blue plaid golf hat.

Mizurkiewics was traveling in a 2006 Toyota with Michigan plate 4LESO.
