Ypsilanti police: Gunman opens fire on vehicle with kids inside

Police: 2 children in vehicle were not harmed; adult struck by bullet fragment


YPSILANTI, Mich. – A disagreement led to a shooting Friday afternoon in Ypsilanti with the intended target's children just feet away.

At about 2 p.m., police say someone opened fire on a vehicle. Two small children were in the car but were not harmed.

One adult in the vehicle was struck with a bullet fragment but is expected to be OK.

Police arrested several people at the scene. The are investigating if anyone else was involved.
