DETROIT – Detroit police are searching for David Anthony Downey, Sr., a 58-year-old Detroit man who was last seen on May 1 in the 24000 block of Puritan Avenue.
Downey's niece, Nakeia, is his care-giver and says she couldn't reach him after dropping him off at his home. Nakeia says an unknown woman answered Downey's door Thursday and said that he had left and told her she could live there.
Police say Downey is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 194 pounds and suffers from schizophrenia and depression.
