River Rouge lifts boil water advisory

RIVER ROUGE, Mich. – The boil water advisory for River Rouge has been lifted.

On Tuesday, River Rouge residents were advised not to drink water from the tap without first boiling it.

The city says due to a drop in pressure in the water supply, bacteria contamination may have occurred in the water system.

"Corrective measures are currently being undertaken to correct the situation," the city said in a release (read the full release below, or here).
