PLYMOUTH, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation is investing $5.5 million to repair and resurface M-14/I-96 between Sheldon Road and Newburgh Road, and repair the southbound I-275 bridge over M-14.
Repairs on the southbound I-275 bridge over M-14 will include deck patching and expansion joint replacement, and will require crews to close one lane on the bridge and close the westbound M-14/I-96 ramp to southbound I-275 for two weeks.

Estimated end time: Late August (work requires six weekends of good weather)
Impact on traffic
- Southbound I-275 will have two lanes open from south of 5 Mile Road to south of I-96/M-14.
- Southbound I-275 bridge repair work will be done in stages:
Stage 1
The right lane of southbound I-275 will be closed for approximately one week.
Stage 2
- The left lane of southbound I-275 will be closed.
- The southbound I-275 ramps to eastbound I-96 and westbound M-14 will remain open.
- The westbound M-14/I-96 ramp to southbound I-275 will be closed during bridge work.
- Ongoing M-14/I-96 pavement repairs and resurfacingwork will occur during overnights and weekends 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday. M-14/I-96 will have two lanes closed in each direction between Newburgh Road and Sheldon Road. The Sheldon Road off and on ramps will be intermittently closed nights and weekends.
