He's accused of breaking into the Poinciana street home of 79-year-old Ron Henrick early Friday morning and stealing the TV.

Henrick, who is retired, works as a clown and as Santa Claus. When he realized he was being robbed, Henrick said he grabbed his shotgun.

"I was going to shoot his a**," said Henrick. "When he was coming at me, I was coming at him with the gun. He grabbed (the bike) and threw it at me and I (closed the door) and it tore up everything. Lucky I did that, because it probably would've killed me."

The suspect left the house without taking anything else, and was later arrested.

Henrick said he hadn't had any problems like this in the 30 years he's lived in the Redford Township neighborhood.

Henrick gave this warning if the suspect ever came back: "He's a dead man."

Police said Monroe is also a suspect in a break-in on the same street in early July. In that incident, Monroe allegedly broke into a house when the owner was on vacation and stole two TVs, police said.
