DETROIT – Tuesday was election day for several local communities.
The Pontiac School District hoped voters would pass a 2.87 mils sinking school fund for building improvements over 5 years.

The Hamtramck school district also has a 10 year, 18 mils effort on the ballot.

The Garden City police and fire department asked voters to approve a millage worth 3.5 mils for 5 years.
VIEW ELECTION RESULTS FROM GARDEN CITY CLERK
Hazel Park voters decided on 2.25 mils over 15 years for police services.
Northville has a general millage, to generate 2.25 mils for 15 years.
VIEW ELECTION RESULTS FROM NORTHVILLE CLERK
Royal Oak Township also has a general millage, asking for 4.5 mils for 4 years.
The millages will, in part, raise money and resources to address renovations, community improvements and school district projects.
Warren had a city council primary as well.
