DETROIT – The Education Achievement Authority of Michigan (EAA) is opening its schools during the summer to help parents register their children for the upcoming school year.
The EAA is a reform program aimed at improving failing schools in metro Detroit.
The EAA is also taking this as an opportunity to show the community what their neighborhood schools have to offer.
"This is going to be a very exciting year. Our schools are places of innovative, life-changing learning and we are glad to show them to the public," said EAA Chancellor Veronica Conforme.
EAA schools will be open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting Monday, August 10th and running through Thursday, August 27th.
Schools will have a recruitment and retention team to assist parents with the enrollment process and to answer questions. They will also provide school tours on request.
