Police said Peck sped off when an officer found her around 3 a.m. Monday parked in a no trespassing zone in the 140 block of Lakeshore Drive in Grosse Pointe Farms.

The officer got Peck to briefly pull over further down on Lakeshore Drive, and saw the infant in a car seat, but she again left the scene.

Peck's car was eventually stopped on Jefferson Avenue near Crane in Grosse Pointe Park when police used stop sticks.

Peck was arrested and the infant was given to another family member.

Peck is scheduled to be arraigned at 3:30 p.m.
