Accused getaway driver charged in Clinton Township party store owner's shooting

CLINTON TOWNSHIP Mich. – A man accused of being the getaway driver in a shooting that killed a Clinton Township party store owner in March has been arrested on murder and robbery charges.

Albert McKinley, 30, was taken into custody Wednesday at a motel in Farmington Hills.

Police said McKinley is accused of being involved with two other suspects who stormed Bernie's Market on Garfield Road and shot Emil Salem.

McKinley is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on charges of felony murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

The two other suspects, Ujuan Burton and Sharde Burt, were charged within days of the incident.

Burton, identified by police as the shooter, was charged with felony murder and armed robbery. Burt was charged with accessory to a felony after the fact for allegedly driving Burton to a hospital in Ohio after he suffered injuries during the shooting.
