DETROIT – The Dally in the Alley festival celebrates its 38th anniversary Saturday.
The annual event is held in Detroit's Cass Corridor and attracts thousands with live music, art, vendors and food.
This year's festival is featuring over 44 music acts on four stages, a community performance stage, live art installations, and more than 200 local retail vendors providing activities and entertainment.
Since it began as an inner city art fair in 1977, the Dally has continued its core mission of celebrating Cass Corridor. The festival is a fundraiser for the North Cass Community Union.
In 2014, the festival was named "Best Summer Festival in Detroit" by the Metro Times.
The Dally in the Alley will take place in Detroit's North Cass neighborhood, between Forest Avenue and Hancock Street, and Second and Third streets.
