Gorgeous stretch of weather in progress in metro Detroit

When is our next rain?

DETROIT – Last week's forecast is playing out exactly on schedule, with a gorgeous week of weather well underway.

This afternoon's sunshine is boosting temps to near 80°, and get ready for two more days just like it!

Tonight will feature mostly clear skies, and overnight lows in the upper 50s to near 60° (15° Celsius for you Canadians). Light southwest wind.

Mostly sunny both Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the low 80s on Wednesday (28° Celsius) and mid 80s (30° Celsius) on Thursday. Overnight lows will be creeping up well into the 60s (20° Celsius) by Thursday night.

Although we may start Friday with some sunshine, an approaching cold front should give us the chance for some showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. Highs near 80° (27° Celsius).

This afternoon's computer models continue a trend of slowing down the cold front due to a wave of low pressure tracking along it, which spells bad news for our Saturday -- rain chances should remain with us through the day. Highs in the low 70s (22° Celsius).

Then get ready for another stretch of mostly sunny and pleasant weather from Sunday through next Tuesday!
