Oakland University police seek campus sexual assault suspect

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Police at Oakland University are investigating a sexual assault that took place Sept. 8 near the Ann V. Nicholson Student Apartments on campus.

The assault was not reported until a week later on Tuesday. The victim told police it happened in a vehicle about 6 p.m. Sept. 8. She had met the male suspect through social media.

The suspect, who is described as a male of Middle Eastern descent, was driving a black car. The victim willingly entered his car.

Police believe the suspect could be a potential threat to the campus community.
