Livonia police receive reports of strange man approaching kids, asking them to help find his dog

LIVONIA, Mich. – Police in Livonia have received reports about a strange white man who asked students being dropped off at a bus stop if they could help him find his dog.

One incident happened near Orangelawn and Garden streets, which is near West Chicago and Middlebelt Road. The children said "no" and the man left the area in an unknown direction.

Police received two other similar reports prior to the school year in the Castle Gardens subdivision, which is near 5 Mile and Newburgh roads.

The man is described as 35 to 45 years old. He was bald with a goatee and was wearing a red shirt. He may have been driving a red sedan.

In all cases, the man approached young boys.
