Wayne Darrell Jones accused of robbing sisters at gunpoint

DETROIT – A 49-year-old Redford Township man is charged in connection to last week's carjacking of a 68-year-old Sterling Heights woman and a 78-year-old Clinton Township woman as they were leaving the MotorCity Casino.

Wayne Darrell Jones is accused of getting into the car with the two women and robbing them of money and their purses at gunpoint.

Jones ordered the 68-year-old woman to drive the car and when they reached a field near Schoolcraft and Appoline Street he ordered the women out of the car and drove away, police said.
