Weather forecast: Sunny with above normal temps Wednesday in metro Detroit

DETROIT – Afternoons have been tough to beat.

Luckily we won't see much of a change in those through the middle of next week. But we will see some slightly milder starts over the next 10 days.

Overnight, skies will remain crystal clear but there will slightly more moisture in the air. That will keep temperatures a bit higher in the upper 40s to mid 50s. Look for some patchy fog closer to daybreak, especially in areas that are prone to visibility issues on clear mornings.

Wednesday forecast:

Sunshine is back on Wednesday. Temperatures will pick up right where they left off this afternoon, in the mid-to-upper 70s. That's about 5 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Break out the pumpkin spice lattes, autumn officially begins at 4:21 tomorrow morning!

Looking ahead:

The remainder of the forecast looks almost identical through the end of the NEXT work week... mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s, and overnight lows in the 50s. Any hint of rain will be more than welcome by that point, but chances of getting wet before October (!!!), look bleak.
