FERNDALE, Mich. – A fun weekend is kicking off in Ferndale where two events are going on simultaneously.
The eighth annual DIY Street Fair is happening east of Woodward Avenue.
The fair features 175 artists, music, food trucks, a free kids zone, hands-on activities, craft beer, wine and cocktails.
The event focuses on local craftspeople, entrepreneurs and organizations selling their work, along with the enjoyment of live music entertainment.
The DIY Street Fair will take place Saturday until midnight and Sunday between noon and 10 p.m.
The Funky Ferndale Art Fair is happening as well, on West Nine Mile Road.
The art fair will exhibit handcrafted jewelry, paintings, and crafts.
The Funky Ferndale Art Fair will continue Saturday until 8 p.m. and Sunday between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
