PONTIAC, Mich. – The Oakland County Sheriff's Department is investigating after a 1-month-old baby died Sunday.
Deputies said they were called to a home in the 900 block of Canterbury Drive at about 6 a.m.

The 34-year-old mother of the infant told officials that she had put the baby to bed around 11 p.m. Saturday and found the baby in her bed with vomit and a small amount of blood Sunday morning.
The baby was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where a doctor pronounced the infant dead.
Officials said the investigation continues pending autopsy results.
