DETROIT – Detroit police have two men in custody accused of robbing a woman at a Redford Township Subway on Telegraph and Chicago around 8 p.m.
About an hour later, officers on patrol near Warren and Plainview saw two men running with a purse. When officers started running after them, the men opened fire.
A man was out walking his dog when it happened. He tipped off police, who were able to apprehend the suspects and recover a gun within 15 minutes.
Detroit police also found the woman's purse in the area.
The two men, who have not been identified, are in custody. They have not been formally charged at this time
