Forecast: Mostly cloudy, but warm Tuesday in metro Detroit
DETROIT – After our gloomy, soggy weekend, today's sunshine is a welcome switch.
Temperatures managed to hit 70 degrees in a few spots. But clouds will return shortly.
Overnight, expect low clouds to spread across southeast Michigan. We might even see a few areas of patchy fog. Temperatures will be similar to what we woke up to on Monday morning -- in the mid 50s.
Tuesday, those overnight clouds will stick around for a mostly cloudy day. Temperatures should still be able to hit 70 in the afternoon. Breezes will be light, and humidity will stay low.
High temperatures will stay around 70 all week until a cold front brings showers through on Friday. That's our only shot at measurable rain this week.
Behind the front, high temperatures from Friday through the weekend will be in the low-to-mid 60s and overnight low starting Saturday will sink into the 40s.
