DETROIT – Detroit police are investigating after an SUV slammed into a dollar store and drove away.
It happened at Schaefer and Joy on the city's west side.
Police told Local 4 the driver and passenger tried to steal the safe from the Dollar General store.
Police have located a blue SUV with heavy front-end damage.
No arrests have been made.
