The school principal notified the school liaison deputy, who in turn contacted the 16-year-old student's parents. During an interview at the Commerce Township substation, the student told law enforcement he was just joking around with his friends. He said he knows he should not have done that and that he had no intentions of shooing up the school.

The teen was released to his parents and possible charges are pending.

Several other students were interviewed, too.
